Residences and a small knitting building were located at the property in the mid-1920s. Whisnant Hosiery Mills, Inc. historically operated on the property from the early 1930s until the late 1960s. Adams-Millis Corporation purchased the facility and occupied it from the early 1970s until the late 1980s. In 1993, Moretz Mill Inc. purchased the facility and manufactured socks until 2006 when the mill ceased operations. The facility contains office space, a dye house, a knitting and finishing area, a looping and boarding area, and a grey goods department.
